MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS M a r c h 20, 1954 The annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the LaSalle Hotel, Chicago, Illinois, on Saturday, March 20, 1954, beginning at 10:00 a.m., having been postponed to this date by vote of the Board at its meeting on J a n u a r y 19, 1954. The following members were present: Mr. Cushman B. Bissell, Mr. W i r t Herrick, Mr. Robert Z. Hickman, Mrs. Doris S. Holt, M r . Wayne A. Johnston, Mr. H e r b e r t B. Megran, Mr. Vernon L. Nickell, and Mrs. Frances B. Watkins. Mr. Harold E . Grange and Governor William G. Stratton were absent. M r . P a r k Livingston was absent when die Board convened but joined the meeting later. Also present were President Lloyd Morey, Provost H e n n i n g L a r sen, Mr. Ralph F . Leseman, Legal Counsel, Mr. J. F . W r i g h t , Director of Public Relations; and the officers of the Board, Messrs. H . O. Farber, Comptroller, C. W . Weldon, Treasurer, and A. J. Janata, Secretary. 1277
