the Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago who was also present at this Board meeting, regarding the investment program recommended by the Trust Department of that Company and that this program meets with the Committee's approval. As specified in a resolution adopted by the Board of Trustees on July 25, 1951 (page 857 of the minutes of that meeting), it is the present intention of the Board that the Miller fund be held intact as an endowment and the income used for educational purposes. The Acting President of the University stated that he has appointed an ad hoc committee, under the Chairmanship of the Provost of the University, to consider special needs of the University to which the endowment income may appropriately be applied, and that a recommendation relating to this will be submitted to the Board later. At the conclusion of the consideration of matters relating to the Miller Estate, the Acting President distributed to all present at the meeting copies of a "Memorial to Professor George Abram Miller" adopted by the University Senate on April 2, 1951, as a tribute to their late colleague.

AWARD OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT CERTIFICATES (6) T h e Committee on Accountancy recommends that the certificate of Certified Public Accountant be awarded, under Section 5 of the Accountancy Act of 1943, to the following candidates who have presented evidence that they are holders of valid and unrevoked Certified Public Accountant certificates obtained by passing a standard written examination in another state or territory of the United States and who qualify in all other respects under this provision of the law: State from Which They Name Address Obtained Certificates
