Following a general discussion of the President's recommendations and the Committee's report: Mr. Johnston suggested that the Advisory Committee of the College of Commerce and Business Administration be consulted regarding the proposed reorganization of the College. Mr. Megran suggested that the reactions of members of the Faculty of the College be secured following a meeting at which the President's recommendations and the report of the Cleary Committee would be discussed and questions answered. Mr. Megran also suggested that the Trustees be notified of the time and place of the meeting so that any who wish to do so may attend as individuals to hear the discussion. President Stoddard stated that his recommendations and the Cleary Committee's report will be submitted to all members of the College Faculty and to the Advisory Committee, that meetings of these groups will be held with the Cleary Committee participating to discuss its report and to answer questions, and that, as requested by the President of the Board, members of both groups will be asked to submit their opinions in writing to the President of the University.

J U N E MEETING

It was agreed that the next meeting of the Board of Trustees will be held in Chicago on Wednesday, June 13, 1951, the hour and place to be determined by the President and Secretary of the Board.

FESTIVAL OF CONTEMPORARY ARTS

On motion of Mrs. Watkins, the Secretary was instructed to send a letter to Dean Rexford Newcomb of the College of Fine and Applied Arts conveying to the Faculty of the College the felicitations of the Board on the 1951 Contemporary Arts Festival and appreciation of the work done to make it such a great success.

APPRECIATION TO MR. WAYNE A. J O H N S T O N

On motion of Mr. Fornof, the Board expressed its appreciation to Mr. Wayne A. Johnston for his gracious hospitality as dinner host to the trustees and other University officials preceding tonight's meeting.

APPRECIATION TO PROFESSOR EDWARD W . CLEARY

On motion of Mr. Nickell, seconded by Mrs. Watkins, the Board expressed its appreciation to Professor Edward W. Cleary for his informative and very helpful discussion of his Committee's Report on the Organization of the College of Commerce and Business Administration. At this point, Mr. Fornof withdrew from the meeting. E X E C U T I V E SESSION On request of President Livingston, the Board went into Executive Session to consider a special order of business.
