SIGNING O F REVENUE BONDS

The Comptroller stated that the new University of Illinois Men's Residence Halls revenue bonds to be issued to provide funds for the construction of additional residence halls facilities and to redeem the outstanding bonds issued in 1948 will require the signatures of the President and Secretary of the Board, and of two other Trustees designated by the Board. On motion of Mr. Nickell, Mr. Wirt Herrick and Mrs. Frances B. Watkins were designated to sign the bonds with the President and Secretary of the Board.

ACTION BY T H E EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE O N BIDS FOR FINANCING OF T H E MEN'S RESIDENCE HALLS ADDITIONS

(13) Bids will be received on February 14, 1952, for the issue of $1,750,000 revenue bonds to finance in part the expansion of the Men's Residence Halls facilities on the Urbana campus. The Comptroller recommends that the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees be authorized to award the issue to the qualified bidder submitting the offer which represents the lowest interest cost to the University. I concur. On motion of Mr. Johnston, this recommendation was approved.
