ACADEMIC RANKS O F ARMY, NAVY, AND AIR FORCE PERSONNEL STATIONED AT T H E UNIVERSITY O F ILLINOIS (3) All Army, Navy, and Air Force officers assigned to Reserve Officers' Training Corps duty at the University of Illinois are members of the University faculty and should have appropriate academic rank. The executive officers of the three services to be Associate Professors; 4. All other officers to have academic rank related to military rank: Lieutenant Colonel and Colonel in the Army, A i r Force, and Marine Corps, and Captain and Commander in the Navy to be Associate Professors, First Lieutenant to Major, and Lieutenant (j.g.) to Lieutenant Commander in the Navy to be Assistant Professors, Warrant Officers and Second Lieutenants and W a r r a n t Officers, Commissioned W a r r a n t Officers, and Ensigns in the Navy to be Instructors.
