BOARD OF TRUSTEES

[ M a y 21

The management of the Illini Union is willing to continue the responsibility for University Club food service but desires that the Board be advised that to do this means, based on an experience to date, a deficit from the University Club which must be absorbed in the Illini Union Building operations. The University pays the Illini Union a service charge for all members of the staff comparable to that charged to students. In the meantime a survey will be undertaken to ascertain if the net costs may be reduced. In view of the all-University services involved, I recommend that a new contract be signed.

This report was received for record.
