MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS November 19, 1 9 4 8 The November meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held on Friday, November 19, 1948, at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, according to the following schedule: 10:30 a.m. — Executive session as in Committee of the Whole. 12:30 p.m. — Open session. The following members were present: General Davis, Mrs. Holt, Mr. Livingston, Mr. McKelvey, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Nickell, Mr. Williamson. Provost C. R. Griffith was present, acting for President Stoddard; also Vice-President A. C. Ivy, Secretary H . E. Cunningham, Comptroller Lloyd Morey, Assistant to the President, Mr. A. J. Janata, and Legal Counsel W . E. Britton. In the absence of President Fornof, Mr. McKelvey was made chairman of the meeting. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meetings of July 21-22 (pages 1-74) and September 23, 1948 (pages 75-134). On motion of Mr. Livingston, the minutes were approved as printed above. 169
