CANCELLATION OF SABBATICAL LEAVES OF ABSENCE FOR PROFESSORS F. W. TANNER AND OSWALD TIPPO (2) Professor F . W . Tanner, Head of the Department of Bacteriology, and Associate Professor Oswald Tippo of the Department of Botany were given sabbatical leaves of absence for the second semester of 1947-1948. Because the Department of Bacteriology has been unable to fill the position of Associate Professor on its staff, Professor Tanner has asked that his leave be postponed until 1948-1949. Professor Tippo is serving as Acting Head of the Department of Botany and because of this service he has been asked to defer his leave. I recommend that the leaves granted be cancelled without prejudice as to future leaves.

On motion of Mr. McLaughlin, these leaves were cancelled as recommended.
