Therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois that A. C. Ivy, Vice-President of the Professional Colleges of the University, be and hereby is, authorized to act as executive officer of the Division of Services for Crippled Children and to sign any and all documents required in connection with securing funds for that Division.

On motion of Mr. Nickell, this resolution was adopted as recommended.

PARTIAL DISTRIBUTION OF BEQUEST OF EDWARD C. EARL (34) On May 26, 1045 (Minutes, page 485), Comptroller Lloyd Morey was authorized to serve as Executor of the Estate of Edward C. Earl. On February 27, 1947, a partial distribution of assets received by the Executor was made to the University. One of the assets of the Estate was a house and lot in Mt. Ranier, Maryland. This property has now been sold and the proceeds amounting to $5,633.86 have been received from the attorney. The check, in favor of the Board of Trustees, was not handled through the accounts of the Executor but was deposited directly with the Treasurer of the University and credited to the principal of the Earl endowment. This has been invested in securities approved by the Finance Committee for investment.

This report was received for record.
