MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS September 2 4 , 1 9 4 6 With Executive Committee Meeting of September 2 0 , 1946 The September meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held on Tuesday, September 24, 1946, at the University Club, 76 East Monroe Street, Chicago, according to the following schedule: Executive session, as in Committee of the Whole, 11 a.m. Open session, 1 p.m. The following members were present: President Livingston, Mr. Davis, Mr. Fornof, Mrs. Grigsby, Mr. McKelvey, Mr. McLaughlin, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Williamson. President Stoddard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Mr. H. E. Cunningham, Secretary, Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Mr. I. L. Porter, Treasurer, Mr. W. E. Britton, Legal Counsel, Professor C. R. Griffith, Provost, Mr. J. F. Wright, Director of Public Information, and, during part of the day, Dr. A. C. Ivy, Vice-President in charge of the Chicago Departments, and Mr. Todd Wheeler, Architect. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meetings of June 15 and 27 and July 30, 1946. On motion of Mr. Williamson, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 1149 to 1402 and 1 to 36 above. 37
