On motion of Mr. Fornof, purchases in class A were authorized; the report of purchases in class B was received for record; and the action of the President of the University in authorizing the purchases reported in class C was approved and confirmed.

C H A N G E S IN BUDGET O F THE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

(23) The Board of Directors of the Athletic Association requests approval of the following actions: 1. An appropriation for the purchase of approximately one year's supply of soap, contract to be awarded to the Colgate, Palmolive Peet Company $2 000 00 2. An appropriation for 8,000 square feet of reinforced concrete under the south end of the Stadium to provide suitable storage space for bleachers and other equipment which must be kept dry, contract to be awarded to Mr. Lynne Meyer 5 906 25 3. An appropriation for athletic activities at the Chicago Professional Colleges . 1 000 00 4. An appropriation for one-half the cost of new uniforms for the University Band not to exceed the sum of 6 500 00 The above actions have been reviewed by the Comptroller, and he submits them for approval. I recommend approval. On motion of Mr. Davis, these changes in the budget of the Athletic Association were approved and confirmed.
