Fixed sum basis 25 760 ?2i 657 T h e Physical Plant Department and the Department of Electrical Engineering recommend that the contract be awarded to E. N. DeAtley, whose bid by analysis is the lowest and is for a fixed sum. T h e Comptroller presents this recommendation for approval, and I concur in the recommendation.

On motion of Mrs. Grigsby, this contract was awarded as recommended.

CANCELLATION OF SABBATICAL LEAVES OF ABSENCE (7) T h e following members of the faculty who were granted sabbatical leaves of absence during the academic year 1946-1947 have requested that their leaves be postponed: MILES C. HARTLEY, Assistant Professor of Education and Head of the Department of Mathematics in the University High School, leave on one-half pay, second semester, 1946-1947. E. J. WORKING, Professor of Agricultural Economics, leave on full pay, second semester, 1946-1947. These requests are made for the convenience of the University because of the shortage of instructional staff. I recommend cancellation of these leaves without prejudice as to reinstatement of these leaves in the future. O n m o t i o n of M r . D a v i s , t h i s r e c o m m e n d a t i o n w a s a p p r o v e d . APPOINTMENTS TO PROFESSIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF THE DIVISION OF SERVICES FOR CRIPPLED CHILDREN (8) T h e Board of Trustees has authorized the appointment of a Professional Advisory Committee of the Division of Services for Crippled Children to work with the Superintendent of the Division in providing necessary contacts between it and the University. T h e present committee was appointed for two years from December I, 1944. T h e Vice-President in charge of the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy submits the following nominations for reappointments and new appointments to this Committee for two years from December I, 1946.
