C U R R I C U L U M P R E P A R A T O R Y TO TEACHING DEAF AND HARD O F HEARING CHILDREN For the Degree of Bachelor of Science in the Education of the Deaf Required for Admission: Fifteen units of secondary-school work, including English, 3 units, Algebra, 1 unit, Geometry, 1 unit. Recommended, Science, 2 units, Language, 2 units. Additional Standards: ( a ) The student must rank in the upper 25 per cent of his high-school graduating class or, if a transfer student, must have a grade point average of at least 3.5. (b) T h e student who is preparing to teach the deaf must possess normal hearing acuity and normal formation of the teeth and lips. This will necessitate a personal interview with, and tests administered by, a staff member of the College of Education. Graduation: A minimum of 124 hours of credit, not counting the first two years of work in military science and physical education, is required for graduation. First Year
