BARBER, HOLLIS W., Professor of Social Sciences (Chicago Undergraduate Division) — leave of absence without pay beginning September I, 1956, and continuing through August 31, 1957, so that he may accept the research position with the Council on Foreign Relations to edit one or two of their annual surveys on American foreign relations. BARKSON, JOSEPH A., Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering (C) — extension of leave of absence, without pay, for the academic year 1956-57, in order that he may complete his thesis work. CAVENY The Board recessed for luncheon, following which Dr. Robert G. Bone, Assistant Provost, and Dean Charles C. Caveny addressed the Board on the state of the Chicago Undergraduate Division.
