The Executive Committee met at the University Club in Chicago at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 1945. Present, Mr. Livingston and Mr. Davis, President Willard, Dr. Stoddard, Provost Griffith, Mr. Janata, and Mr. Cunningham.

REVIEW OF THE EDUCATIONAL BUDGET

The Executive Committee discussed the matter of securing, in conference with the President of the University, a review of the educational features of the budget at a stage in its development when criticisms and suggestions could receive adequate consideration and be made effective before the provisions of the budget had been fixed. On motion of Mr. Davis, the President of the University was requested to assign to the Provost the duty of reviewing, in consultation with Deans and Directors, all proposals relating to educational programs in connection with the Internal Budget for 1946-1947 and the Biennial Budget for 1947-1949 in all stages of preparation, and report to the President of the University thereon; and the President of the University was requested to submit to President-elect Stoddard and to the Board the results of these studies in advance of the presentation of the completed budgets.
