compensation for such additional work will be allowed after review and approval by the Finance Committee. O n motion of M r . Davis, the employment of A r t h u r Y o u n g and Company was authorized as recommended.

REPORT O F AUDIT O F ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

At this point, M r . Davis reported that the Committee on Athletic A c tivities has received a copy of the report on the examination of the accounts of the Athletic Association of the University of Illinois for the year ended J u n e 30, 1945, by A r t h u r Y o u n g a n d Company, auditors. T h e report is supplemented by a report from the University Auditing Division covering the detailed audit of ticket sales for the year. T h e report of A r t h u r Young and Company includes a certification of the balance sheet and statement of income, expenses, and operating surplus. T h e report of the University A u d i t i n g Division shows that all matters relating to ticket sales have been satisfactorily handled. T h i s report was received for record. T h e Executive Committee adjourned.

Women, on one-third time, for five months beginning September I, 1945, at a salary at the rate of eighty dollars ($80) a month. (November 7, 1945)1

ALBRIGHT, WILLIAM GRAYDON, Assistant in Electrical Engineering, in the

College of Engineering, on one-half time, for eight months beginning November 1, 1945, at a salary of nine hundred dollars ($900). (October 31, 1945)

AYCOCK, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, JR., Assistant in Chemistry, on one-half

time, for eight months beginning October I, 1945, at a salary of eight hundred dollars ($800). (October 19, 1945)

BAILAR, MRS. FLORENCE CATHEKWOOD, Assistant in Mathematics, for five

months beginning September 1, 1945, at a salary at the rate of one hundred eighty dollars ($180) a month. (November 1, 1945)
