MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS August 29, 1945 With Executive Committee Meetings of August 2 8 and 2 9 , 1945 The August meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the University Club, 76 East Monroe Street, Chicago, at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 1945. When the Board convened, the following members were present: President Livingston, Mrs. Grigsby, Dr. Luken, Mr. McLaughlin, Dr. Meyer. President Willard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Mr. H. E. Cunningham, Secretary, Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, and Professor C. R. Griffith, Provost. Since there was no quorum, the Board recessed. H. E.
