classification. After one year's service in the new classification, the employee's continuation in that classification will be deemed a waiver of seniority rights in the old classification. XV. ADMINISTRATIVE EMPLOYEES The Director of Nonacademic Personnel, on the advice of department heads, may designate certain nonacademic classifications as administrative. Classifications covered by the provisions of collective bargaining agreements shall not be considered for such designation. Compensation for employees in administrative classifications shall be determined entirely by the University. They shall not receive additional cash compensation for services in excess of the work week normally required in the position. They shall receive vacations of one month in each year of service. Advancement shall be based solely on merit as recommended by department heads except as general increases are granted to all employees subject to the provisions of section III-2 and 3. XVI. NOTICES OF EMPLOYMENT Notices of employment in all nonacademic classifications shall be issued by the Director of Nonacademic Personnel at the beginning of employment. These notices shall continue in effect until employment is terminated, or conditions of employment are changed, in which case a superseding notice will be issued. Such notices shall state the classification, compensation, effective date, and other conditions affecting the employment.
