1944] UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS REPORT ON JUNIOR COLLEGES 323 Mr. Jensen, for the special committee to consider the Relation of the University to the Junior College Movement in Illinois, reported that the Committee had met earlier on the present day and had voted to recommend to the Board to approve and to print a comprehensive report on this matter prepared by Provost C. R. Griffith as the result of a study authorized December 18, 1943 (Minutes, page 790). Mr. Nickell stated that he might be able to supply funds to help defray the cost of printing, in addition to the balance available in the appropriation for the survey. In consideration of the above, and on motion of Mr. Jensen, the Executive Committee voted (subj'ect to the approval of the Board) to authorize the printing of this report by the University Press as a joint publication of the University and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction.
