PURCHASES RECOMMENDED (19) T h e Purchasing Agent has proposed and the Comptroller recommends the following purchases. Unless otherwise specified, the purchase in each case is recommended on the basis of lowest bid, ceiling price, or because the item is noncompetitive. I concur in the recommendations. 1. Rental of caps and gowns for June, 1946, Commencement, from the Collegiate Cap and Gown Company, Champaign, at a cost of $1,260. 2. T w o hundred eighty-eight anatomy dissecting sets, for the Student Supply Store, Chicago, from the Graf-Apsco Co., Chicago, at a cost of $1,710.80. 3. One Sonntag universal fatigue machine, for the Department of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, from the Baldwin Southwark Division of Baldwin Locomotive W o r k s , Philadelphia, at a cost of $1,000.
