MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS May 29, 1946 The May meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at 9 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 1946, at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel, in Springfield. When the Board convened, the following members were present: President Livingston, Mr. Fornof, Mrs. Grigsby, Mr. McKelvey, Mr. McLaughlin, Mr. Nickell, Mr. Williamson. Mr. Davis took his place with the Board later in the day. President Willard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Mr. H. E. Cunningham, Secretary, Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Mr. W. E. Britton, Legal Counsel, Professor C. R. Griffith, Provost, Mr. C. S. Havens, Director of the Physical Plant Department, Mr. J. F. Wright, Director of Public Information, and, during part of the day, Mr. F. H. Turner, Dean of Students. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of April 18, 1946. On motion of Mr. Nickell, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 1057 to 1096 above. 1097
