MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS August 5, 1941 The August meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Medical Building, in Chicago, at 10 o'clock a.m. (Central Daylight Saving Time) on Tuesday, August 5, 1941. The following members were present: President Cleary, Mr. Davis, Mr. Fornof, Mrs. Grigsby, Mr. Jensen, Mr. Karraker, Mr. Livingston, Dr. Meyer. President Willard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Mr. H. E. Cunningham, Secretary, Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Mr. H. A. Hazleton, Assistant Comptroller, Judge Sveinbjorn Johnson, Counsel, Dr. R. B. Allen, Executive Dean of the Chicago Colleges, Mr. J. F. Wright, Director of Public Information, and Mr. C. S. Havens, Director of the Physical Plant Department. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meetings of June 24, July 15, and the adjourned session of July 22, 1941. On motion of Dr. Meyer, the minutes of the meeting of June 24, 1941, were approved, as printed on pages 313 to 378 above. On motion of Mr. Jensen, the minutes of the meetings of July 15 and 22, 1941, were approved, as printed on pages 379 to 408 above. 409
