1941] UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS 245 H e recommends the award of the contract to the Mutual Metal Manufacturing Company in the amount of $4,100, on condition that a bond will be provided by the vendor, the premium on which will be paid by the University. Previous bids on this installation were rejected because there were only two bids received, and several of the prospective bidders had indicated that they would have submitted bids if they had had more time and if separate bids had been requested on stock and special fixtures as well as combined bids. The Mutual Metal Manufacturing Company was the lowest bidder each time. I concur in this recommendation. On motion of Mr. Fornof, this award was made as recommended. At this point, Mr. Cleary returned and took the chair.
