BOARD OF TRUSTEES

[February 21

EXCHANGE OF PROFESSORS WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA

(4) Assistant Professor Paul M. Green, of the Department of Economics, has requested permission to exchange his position with Professor D. M. Beights, of the University of Florida, from February 1 to June 30, 1941. The Board of Trustees has recognized the advantages of such exchanges by including a provision in the University Statutes authorizing the necessary arrangements. Since it was necessary to make this exchange effective at the beginning of the second semester, I have authorized a leave of absence for Professor Green without pay from February 1 to June 30, 1041, and the appointment of Professor Beights as Assistant Professor of Economics for five months from February 1, 1041, at a salary rate of $3,500 a year, which is the same as received by Professor Green. Any salary adjustments to take care of the financial equities involved will be made directly between Professor Beights and Professor Green under a plan to which they have agreed. I request confirmation of these actions.

On motion of Mr. Davis, these actions were confirmed.

APPOINTMENT OF DR. PAUL C. BUCY AS ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN THE DEPARTMENT OF NEUROLOGY AND NEUROLOGICAL SURGERY

On motion of Mr. Davis, this action was confirmed.
