The meeting was called to order by Miss Wilson. The Secretary's minutes were read and app oved as read. PP JII . 1 t was read and approve The Ireasi v>o"/>S . of $97.03 in the treasury. mr here is a balanc Engineering Council Report: Council is worried about the feeling of apathy among the engineers on campus. The council discussed the budget for St. Path's Ball and the requirement for nominee's. The queen nominations must be in by the first of the year. Open House 'was discussed. People are needed to work on encouraging high schoolers to come to Open House. The council is in the red as far as funds go* Wanted societies to vote on wheither or not they would pay dues to the council. There was a planned tribute to Dean Everitt, who is retiring this year. This was a three fold plan consisting of asking him to be quest speaker at commen.cem.ent, presenting him an nonary from the university a a i naming a new engineering library after him. Remind students rd that the teacher awards are coming up. Open House Report: The Open House project is going to be on synthetic foods. Gloria is in touch with people from General Mills. We voted to give Engineering Council $10,00. The meeting was then turned over to Prof. Lyman, who introduced the Plato Project. After her introduction , we adjourned to the labs5 where the girls present learned to use the teaching computers.
