SOCIETY OF WOMEN ENGINEERS Tuesday, September 11, 1979 7;00 p. m. 261, 263 Illini Union Approximately fifteen minutes was allotted for everyone to fill out applications. Nadine ealled the meeting to order and explained her office. Each officer preceded to explain the duties and rewards of her office. Kay asked for volunteers to help mail out newsletters and to put up posters around campus. Nadine gave a brief outline of this years' projects. Cindy commented on the National Convention held last June. Cindy, Nadine, Kay, and Deanna attended as representatives of the University of Illinois. Cindy then went o l to explain about an Industry Contact System. The purpose of this i would be to keep companies informed about our activities. A question and answer session about our organization and its activities followed Cindy's announcements. We plan on distributing our Resume Booklet again this fall. Committee members are needed so the book can go out before the end of the semester. A chairman will be needed for Engineering Open House. Carol Kalacinski was interested in the position. Several others were interested in helping. The meeting adjourned at 8:00 to Cochran's for pizza. Approximately 100 people attended the meeting. Respectfully submitted, Jane M.
