Item 600 000 liters (estimated) high purity liquid nitrogen (lamp grade 99.9 per cent pure) for the biennium July 1, 1963, through June 30, 1965, including one storage vessel of 5,280 gallon capacity, company owned and maintained, to be supplied on a no charge basis; this commodity ia used in various manners, for research primarily in the Physics and Chemistry Departments; however, other departments use liquid nitrogen for freezing specimens, preserving foods, and in gaseous electronics One spectrophotometer, recording with range of 1S60A, 0.0001 per cent scattered light, marker pen, power supply detectors, five rolls of chart paper and detector cells for use in Physics Department studies of the color centers in the alkali halides One 400-channel, transistorized pulse height analyzer with three-inch output display oscilloscope, having multichannel scaler operation and both linear and logarithmic display, with provisions for plug-in paper punch system, as well as spectrum resolving equipment One alpha-numeric accounting machine equipped with alpha-numeric tape readout One mass spectrometer (helium leak detector) with mobile work stand, nitrogen trap capable of holding a 24hour supply of liquid nitrogen, and an audio alarm system, to be used for detecting leaks in high and ultrahigh vacuum systems in the Physics Laboratories 2,500 cases (approximately) canine food, special dietary, for the period July 1, 1%3, through June 30, 1965 One vacuum evaporator, automatically controlled with attachment for freeze dry apparatus and cold cathode discharge gauge for measurement of vacuum to 2xl0""\ to be used in preparing specimens for use with an electron microscope One composing machine, electric, office type One steel table for the composing machine Eight type fonts Furnish photographic laboratory services for the period of July 1, 1963, through June 30, 1965, as follows: Process 100,000 ft. 16 m.m. black and white reversal film Make 100,000 ft. 16 m.m. black and white reversal workprints Make color internegative and answer print from 3,000 ft.
