order that the "Woodland Property" — Robert Allerton Park, so named by the Board — would be operated at no expense to the public, he endowed it with farm lands, the income from which is used for the operation and maintenance of the P a r k and to some extent the House. It is very fitting that on the occasion of today's meeting of the Board of Trustees at Allerton House, the Board again record its deep appreciation on behalf of the University of Illinois and the people of the state for what Mr. Robert Allerton and his adopted son, Mr. John Gregg, have done for them and that this resolution be sent to Mr. Allerton as a greeting from the Board of Trustees.
