APPOINTMENT OF ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF T H E AGRICULTURAL EXPERIMENT STATION (35) The Dean of the College of Agriculture and Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station and Director of the Extension Service recommends the appointment of Dr. Morell Belote Russell, presently Professor of Soil Physics and Head of the Department of Agronomy, as Professor of Soil Physics on indefinite tenure and Associate Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station for one year from September 1, 1962, at a salary of $22,300 on a twelve-month service basis. The appointment of Associate Director is to fill the vacancy which will be created by the retirement at the end of the current academic year of Professor Tom S. Hamilton of the Department of Animal Science who has also served as Associate Director since 1954. Professor Russell's appointment is recommended after consultation with the Executive Committee of the College of Agriculture and is endorsed by the Dean of the Graduate College and the Executive Vice-President and Provost. I concur.
