BOARD OF TRUSTEES

[March 17

extended to active Trustees of the University. (This will include admissions to University functions upon due notice and application for the same.) The Trustee Emeritus Award will be presented at occasions which will be determined to suit the convenience of the recipients and the active members of the Board. It is recommended that the foregoing plan be adopted for the future. With respect to the Trustee Emeritus Award to all former Trustees, a special recognition event would be desirable. Former Trustees living in the state of Illinois are ex-officio members of the University of Illinois Citizens Committee. The next biennial meeting of the Committee will be held at Urbana on May 23. President Henry has stated that the program for this meeting will feature recognition of the Centennial of the Land-Grant Act of 1862 and a discussion of the role of a Trustee in a State University. Thus this year's meeting of the Citizens Committee will provide a suitable occasion for giving appropriate recognition to former Trustees and the conferring of the Trustee Emeritus Award on those who wish to accept it.
