recommend adoption of the following resolution authorizing the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board of Trustees to execute and deliver the necessary leases and other documents between the University and the Illinois Building Authority to accomplish the purposes stated. I concur. Resolution WHEREAS, the Illinois Building Authority, a body corporate and politic of the State of Illinois created by the General Assembly of the State of Illinois is empowered to acquire by purchase or otherwise, construct, complete, remodel, maintain, and equip any and all buildings and other facilities as the General Assembly by law declares to be in the public interest; WHEREAS, in accordance with the Illinois Building Authority Act the 75th General Assembly of the State of Illinois has declared the following University of Illinois projects to be in the public interest: Chicago Circle Campus Construct Behavioral Sciences Center Building Construct Education Center Building Construct Physical Education Building Construct Science and Engineering Center Building Construct Utilities Center Addition Total — Chicago Circle Campus Medical Center Campus Construct College of Nursing Office and Classroom Building Construct College of Dentistry Building Construct Medical Research Laboratory Addition Construct Office Building Total — Medical Center Campus $ 10 6 6 18 2 $ 45 $ 6 10 3 3 $ 24 399 781 904 848 297 231 850 234 385 606 076 300 575 435 300 900 510 300 000 500 200 000

That the Illinois Building Authority be and it hereby is requested to provide the foregoing projects and facilities at the Chicago Circle campus, the Medical Center campus, and the Urbana-Champaign campus and to lease the same to the University of Illinois as provided in the Illinois Building Authority Act. Section 2. That the Comptroller and Secretary of this Board of Trustees be, and they hereby are, authorized to execute, acknowledge, and deliver in the name and on behalf of this corporation such instruments of transfer, conveyance, lease, contract, and other documents as are necessary or appropriate in order to provide for the carrying out of the foregoing projects and facilities by the Illinois Building Authority.
