at par and accrued interest and at an interest rate of 3 per cent. No other bids were received for the Series B Bonds. The Vice-President and Comptroller also presents the Ninth Supplemental Housing Revenue Bond Resolution supplementing the Resolution approved December 17, 1958, and creating $2,100,000 Housing Reyenue Bonds of 1966, Series A, and $520,000 Housing Revenue Bonds of 1966, Series B, and recommends its adoption. H e further recommends that the Board: Authorize the execution of the bonds by Earl W. Porter, Secretary of the Board, by the facsimile signature of the President of the Board, and by the facsimile signatures of Timothy W . Swain and Howard W . Clement, members of the Board. Ratify and confirm all actions taken or to be taken by the officers and members of the Board in connection with the sale and delivery of the bonds to the purchasers indicated above. I concur.

On motion of Mr. Jones, these recommendations were approved, authority was given as requested, and all actions taken or to be taken in connection with the sale and delivery of the bonds were confirmed. These actions were taken by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Grimes, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Johnston, Mr. Jones, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Swain, Dr. Weatherly; no, none; absent, Governor Kerner, Mr. Page. The Ninth Supplemental Housing Revenue Bond resolution appears as an appendix to these minutes ( following page 472).

CONTRACTS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ORCHARD APARTMENTS, PHASE 4 , URBANA (27) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend award of the following contracts for construction of 252 apartment units for married students, also known as Married Student Housing MS-4, to be constructed south of the existing Orchard Downs apartment area, the award in each case to the lowest bidder: General—-Consumers Construction Co., Chicago Base bid $1 384 700 00 Additive alternate for assignment of other contracts 20 711 00 Total $1 405 411 00 Electrical — G. L. Wilsky, an individual doing business as Downtown Electric, Urbana 206 925 00 Plumbing— Bellis & Miller, Inc., Champaign 374 000 00 Forced Warm Air Heating— Petry Roofing and Sheet Metal Co., Champaign 109 454 00 Total $2 095 790 00 It is further recommended that all contracts other than the contract for genera! work be assigned to the contractor for that work, making the total of his contract price $2,095,790, and that an agreement be entered into with Consumers Construction Co., Chicago, for the assignment of these other contracts for $20,711, which amount is included in the contract price, being the amount bid by that company for service charge for supervision of other contracts assigned to the general contractor. Funds will be available from the proceeds of revenue bonds being sold today. Submitted herewith is a report from the Physical Plant Department, including a schedule of bids received, a copy of which is being filed with the Secretary of the Board for record. I concur.
