The J a n u a r y meeting of T h e Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the Chicago Circle Center, Chicago, Illinois, on Thursday, J a n u a r y 12, 1967, beginning at 10:30 a.m. President H o w a r d W . Clement called the meeting to order and asked the Secretary to call the roll. T h e following members of the Board were present: Mr. H o w a r d W . Clement, Mr. Irving Dilliard, Mr. Earl M. Hughes, Mr. Wayne A. Johnston, Mr. R a y Page, Mr. Harold Pogue, Mr. Timothy W . Swain, M r s . Frances B. Watkins, Mr. Kenney E. Williamson. Mr. Theodore A. Jones and Governor Otto Kerner were absent. Trustees-elect Donald R. Grimes and James A. Weatherly attended as guests. Also present were President David D. H e n r y ; Executive VicePresident and Provost Lyle H . Lanier; Chancellor Norman A. Parker, University of Illinois at Chicago Circle; Chancellor Joseph S.
