Resolution Be It, and It Hereby Is, Resolved by The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, a public corporation of the State of Illinois, that the Illinois Building Authority be, and it hereby is, requested to award to Worthington Corporation, Harrison, New Jersey, a contract for furnishing and delivering two condenser water circulating pumps and two chilled water circulating pumps, complete with motor drives, necessary for the construction of the Utilities Center Addition at the Chicago Circle, Phase III, for the fixed price of $24,170. Be It, and It Hereby Is, Further Resolved by The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, a public corporation of the State of Illinois, that the Comptroller and Secretary of this public corporation be, and they hereby are, authorized to make, execute, acknowledge and deliver, in the name and in behalf of this corporation, such instruments of transfer, conveyance, lease, contract and other documents as are necessary or appropriate in order to provide for the carrying out of the foregoing project and facility by the Illinois Building Authority. On motion of Mr. Clement, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Grimes, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Jones, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Swain, Mr. Williamson; no, none ; absent, Governor Kerner, Mr. Page, Dr. Weatherly.

REQUEST TO ILLINOIS BUILDING AUTHORITY TO INCREASE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF LIBRARY BUILDING, PHASE II, CHICAGO CIRCLE

(21) The President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends that the Board of Trustees request the Illinois Building Authority to authorize an increase of $19,423 in the contract with Gust K. Newberg Construction Co., for ventilation and air conditioning work in the area of the Library Building, Chicago Circle, which will be assigned to the Office of Instructional Resources. Funds are available in the project budget for this work.

On motion of Mr. Hahn, this recommendation was approved by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Grimes, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Jones, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Swain, Mr. Williamson; no, none; absent, Governor Kerner, Mr. Page, Dr. Weatherly.

CONTRACT FOR DOOR REPLACEMENT, REMODELING AND ENCLOSING STAIRWAYS IN THE GENERAL HOSPITAL AND ILLINOIS N E U R O P S Y C H I A T R Y INSTITUTE, MEDICAL CENTER

(22) The President of the University, with the concurrence of the appropriate administrative officers, recommends award of the following contract for door replacement, remodeling and enclosing stairways in the General Hospital and the Illinois Neuropsychiatric Institute at the Medical Center campus: General — H. B. Barnard Company, Chicago $67 990 00 Electrical — H. B. Barnard Company, Chicago 1 358 00 The work provides for remodeling and enclosing stairways and installation of fire doors consistent with the standards provided by the Chicago Building Code. Funds for this work are available in state capital appropriations to the University for 1967-69 and have been released by the Governor. Since H. B. Barnard Company, Chicago, is the lowest bidder for both general and electrical work, it is also recommended that these two awards be combined in a single contract in lieu of separate contracts.
