between Illinois-resident and nonresident students. The proposed rates are those now assessed for a full-time program (Range I) for one quarter in the Colleges of Nursing and Pharmacy, the Graduate College, and the School of Associated Medical Sciences. I concur.

On motion of Mr. Swain, the Committee recommended that the Board approve these changes at the annual meeting of the Board.

APPROPRIATIONS FOR N O N R E C U R R I N G EXPENDITURES, URBANA

(8) After review by the Urbana-Champaign Committee on Nonrecurring Appropriations, the Chancellor recommends the following appropriations from the: Urbana-Champaign General Reserve Renovation and remodeling for which funds are assigned to the Department of Plant and Services: Remodeling in Davenport Hall for the Department of Geography $23 650 Remodeling in Noyes Laboratory for the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering 19 200 Total, Urbana-Champaign General Reserve $42 850 Urbana-Champaign Contract Research Reserve — General Renovation and remodeling for which funds are assigned to the Department of Plant and Services: Remodeling at 1201 West Nevada Street, Urbana, for the Institute of Government and Public Affairs $15 400 The Executive Vice President and Provost and the Vice President and Comptroller concur. I recommend approval of these appropriations.

On motion of Mr. Clement, these appropriations were made by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Swain; no, none; absent, none.

CONTRACTS FOR REMODELING IN SECOND UNIT OF T H E DENTISTRY-MEDICINE-PHARMACY BUILDING. MEDICAL CENTER

(9) The President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends award of the following contracts for remodeling in the Second Unit of the Dentistry-Medicine-Pharmacy Building at the Medical Center campus for the Department of Pathology, the award in each case being on the low base bid. General — Vee See Construction Company, Inc., Chicago $11 041 Plumbing — Chas C Breyer Co., Chicago 6 400 Heating and Process Piping — Admiral Heating & Ventilating, Inc., Hillside 5 445 Ventilation— Reliable Sheet Metal Works, Inc., Elk Grove Village 1 399 Electrical — G & M Electrical Contractors Co., Chicago 4 932 Laboratory Equipment — Kewanee Technical Furniture Company, Evanston 21 192 Total $50 409 It is further recommended that all contracts other than the contract for the general work be assigned to the contractor for the general work, making the total of its contract $50,409, and that an agreement be entered into with the Vee See Construction Company, Inc., for assignment of the other contracts. The amount bid by Vee See Construction Company, Inc., for the supervision of the other contracts assigned to the general contractor is included in the base bid for general work. Funds for this work are available in an appropriation made by the Board of Trustees on July 23, 1969.
