A P P O I N T M E N T O F ADDITIONAL MEMBERS T O BOARD O F EXAMINERS IN ACCOUNTANCY (8) Legislation passed at the last session of the legislature increased the number of members of the Board of Examiners from three to five. To comply with the amended statute and to meet the requirements for staggered terms, the Committee on Accountancy recommends the appointment of J. Ira Young, a partner in the firm of Gauger and Deihl, Decatur, to the Board of Examiners for a one-year term and Richard S. Claire, a partner in the firm of Arthur Anderson & Co., Chicago, to the Board for a two-year term. I concur. O n m o t i o n of M r . G r i m e s , t h i s r e c o m m e n d a t i o n w a s a p p r o v e d . AMENDMENTS O F REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE CERTIFICATE O F CERTIFIED P U B L I C A C C O U N T A N T (9) T h e Committee on Accountancy has recommended changes in Rule 6 and Rule 16 in the University's regulations adopted by the Board of Trustees for administering the Illinois Accountancy Law, as follows (new language is in italics; deletions are lined through) : Rule 6. Filing of the Application — General Applicants for the examination for the C.P.A. certificate under the Act shall file their applications with the Committee on Accountancy at Urbana, Illinois, together with the necessary proofs to establish their eligibility. T h e proper fee must accompany the application. A fee of $5<W)&-<55.00 is prescribed for each examination or re-examination except as indicated under Rule 16. Rule 16.
