struction costs, plus reimbursement for the actual costs of a Clerk of the Works, The contract further states that the total payment for services on any specific project would not exceed $10,000 unless prior authorization is given by the Board of Trustees. The President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate admininstrative officers, recommends an addition to this contract of an estimated $15,000 for the following work in the Racine Avenue Building at the Chicago Circle campus: 1. Preliminary design for remodeling portions of the second, third, and fourth floors. 2. Preparation of bid documents for design of mechanical equipment to upgrade the ventilating and air conditioning system, heating system, electrical supply, and plumbing system. Funds are available in state capital appropriations to the University for 1967-69 and have been released by the Governor.

On motion of Mr. Williamson, this recommendation was approved by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Grimes, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Jones, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Swain, Mr. Williamson; no, none; absent, Governor Ogilvie, Mr. Page, Dr. Weatherly.

TRANSFER OF JURISDICTION OF LAND T O THE ILLINOIS BUILDING AUTHORITY, URBANA (23) The Illinois Building Authority has requested the Board of Trustees to transfer jurisdiction of the sites of the Foreign Languages Building project and the Music Building project at the Urbana-Champaign campus to the Illinois Building Authority. Both of these projects are part of the construction which the Seventy-fifth General Assembly has declared to be in the public interest and which the Board of Trustees at its meeting on July 26, 1967, requested the Illinois Building Authority to provide. Accordingly, the President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, requests the adoption of the following resolutions to authorize the transfer requested by the Illinois Building Authority. Resolution WHEREAS, the Seventy-Fifth General Assembly of the State of Illinois has declared it to be in the public interest that the Illinois Building Authority construct, on behalf of The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, a Music Building at the Urbana-Champaign campus of the University of Illinois; and WHEREAS for that purpose it will be necessary for the Illinois Building Authority to acquire jurisdiction of the real estate upon which said building will be located; and WHEREAS T h e Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, a public corporation of the State of Illinois with its principal office in Urbana, Illinois, has been requested by the Illinois Building Authority to transfer jursdiction of said real estate for the constructon of said building. Now, Therefore, Be It and It Is Hereby Resolved by The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois at its February 19, 1969, meeting, as follows: That the Comptroller and the Secretary of The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois be and they are hereby authorized to execute, acknowledge and deliver, in the name and on behalf of this corporation, an instrument of transfer of jurisdiction to the property described in the attached document entitled "Instrument of Transfer" which said form of Instrument of Transfer is, by this reference, incorporated in and made a part of this Resolution.
