of various student groups on each campus who would meet and have lunch with the Trustees as a part of a continuing- dialog. There was considerable discussion of this proposal and the President of the University proposed to work out the details of the plan in order to respect the needs of each campus.

INTRODUCTION OF MAYOR OF PEORIA

Mr. Hughes introduced the Honorable Richard E. Carver, Mayor of Peoria, who welcomed the Board to the City of Peoria.

AWARD OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT CERTIFICATES

(3) The Committee on Accountancy recommends that the certificate of Certified Public Accountant be awarded, under Section 5 of the Illinois Accountancy Act of 1943, as amended, to five candidates who have presented evidence that they are holders of valid and unrevoked Certified Public Accountant certificates obtained by passing a standard written examination in another state or territory of the United States and who qualify in all other respects under this provision of the law. The Committee on Accountancy, pursuant (o Rule 16(d) of the Regulations, also recommends that the certificate of Certified Public Accountant be awarded to six candidates who wish to transfer the examination credit earned by passing the standard written examination in another state and who have fulfilled all other legal requirements under Sections I, 2, and 3 of the Illinois Accountancy Act of 1943 as amended. The Committee on Accountancy recommends that the certificate of Certified Public Accountant be awarded to 586 candidates who passed the standard written examination in November, 1973, in Illinois and who have fulfilled all other legal requirements tinder Sections 1, 2, and 3 of the Illinois Accountancy Act of 1943 as amended. 1 concur.

On motion of Mr. Neal, these certificates were awarded.
