Ohio Oil Company, Robinson, Illinois, $325, for the establishment during the summer term of 1943 of a graduate research assistantship in Chemistry under the direction of Professor G. L. Clark. 20. Educational and Research Bureau for By-Product Ammonia, Columbus, Ohio, $300, for the continuation of "exploratory studies on the interrelationships between sulphate of ammonia and rock phosphate," by the Agricultural Experiment Station, for the period of one year from April 15, 1943. 21. Research Laboratories, S.M.A. Corporation, Chagrin Falls, Ohio, $240, in support of a research assistantship in the Department of Chemistry during the summer term of 1943. 22. American Cyanamid and Chemical Corporation, $200, for the continuation of research to determine the effectiveness of certain compounds as seed treatments for corn as a control for certain seed and soil-born organisms, by the Agricultural Experiment Station, for a period of one year from June 1, 194323. Mr. Felix Gehrmann of Chicago, $500, for the purchase of rare old medical books for the College of Medicine. A few years ago Mr. Gehrmann started making contributions to the Gehrmann Historical Book Fund.

CONTRACT WITH ARMY FOR A . S . T . P .
