UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS Mr. Davis, this appointment was authorized

as

W A G E S O F E M P L O Y E E S WHILE ON ACTIVE DUTY WITH ILLINOIS R E S E R V E MILITIA (27) It has previously been the policy of the University to pay those of its employees who were members of the Illinois National Guard the difference between the pay they received from the State and their University wages when they were obliged to be away from their University work on active duty, such as summer maneuvers. A number of University employees now belong to the Illinois Reserve Militia. They were called for service at Peoria during the recent flood conditions and were away from the University for twelve days. I recommend that all such employees be paid the difference between their Illinois Reserve Militia per diem and their University wages during the period of active service. O n m o t i o n of M r .
