CONTRACT FOR INSTALLATION OF CUBICLES IN LIBRARY OF BIOLOGY B U I L D I N G

(14) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend award of a contract for $16,070 to E. F. Hauserman Company, Cleveland, Ohio, the lowest bidder, for installation of cubicles in the library of the new Biology Building. Funds are available in the state appropriation for the construction of this building. I concur. On motion of M r . Hughes, this contract was awarded, as recommended, by the following vote: Aye, M r . Clement, M r . Harewood, M r . Herrick, Mr. H u g h e s , Mr. Johnston, Mr. Pogue, M r . Swain, M r s . Watkins, Mr. Wilkins, M r . Williamson; no, none; absent, Mr. Stratton.

CONTRACT W I T H OZARK AIR LINES FOR THE USE OF UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AIRPORT

(15) The Director of the Institute of Aviation and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend renewal of the lease with Ozark Air Lines, Inc. for use of the University Airport for five years from July 1, 1950, on the following terms: 1. Landing fees of $360.00 a month for up to fifteen scheduled flights a day, plus $1.00 per 1,000 pounds per month on aircraft over 28,000 pounds gross weight; proportional fees to be charged for flights in excess of fifteen a day. 2. Rental of office space at $3.50 per square foot per year (a total of 1,417 square feet is assigned to Ozark, making the annual rental $4,950.50); basement storage space to be available at $1.00 per square foot per year; until the new terminal building is occupied, rental of existing space will continue at the present rate of $75.00 per month. 3- Use of loud speaker system at a rental of $10.00 a month. 4. Gasoline and oil sales at cost plus a handling charge of four cents a gallon for gas and twenty-five cents a gallon for oil. I concur. On motion of M r . Clement, the renewal of this lease, on the terms recommended, was authorized.

SALE OF SECURITIES

(16) The Finance Committee recommends adoption of the following resolutions authorizing the sale of securities representing investments of University trust funds. Resolution WHEREAS, The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois is the owner of 700 shares of Maryland Casualty Company, and WHEREAS, The Finance Committee of said Board has determined that it is advantageous to sell the above listed securities, Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois that these securities be sold and that H. O. Farber, Comptroller, and A. J. Janata, Secretary, be authorized to execute all documents necessary to complete such sale. These securities represent a portion of the investment of the George A. Miller i-ndowment. On motion of M r . Swain, the foregoing resolution was adopted.
