After further discussion it appeared that this would not be feasible, and on motion of Mr. Nickel!, the Board reconsidered its action. On motion of Mr. Williamson, the Board voted to hold the October meeting on either October 21, 22, or 23, the time and place to be determined by the President and Secretary of the Board after consultation with the Trustees absent from today's meeting and with University officials.

MEETING OF ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNING BOARDS OF STATE UNIVERSITIES A N D ALLIED INSTITUTIONS

President Livingston called attention to the 1958 meeting of the Association of Governing Boards of State Universities and Allied Institutions which will be held at Purdue University, October 15 through 18, and ask if any members of the Board desire to attend as official delegates of the University. After some discussion, President Livingston designated Mrs. Frances B. Watkins, Mr. Earl M. Hughes, and the Secretary of the Board as official delegates, and the Secretary was authorized to make the necessary arrangements for their representation. SECRETARY'S REPORTS The Secretary presented for record the following lists: (1) appointments made by the President; (2) fellows; (3) graduate fellows; (4) resignations and declinations; (5) leaves of absence; (6) changes in sabbatical leaves of absence.

ADAMS, JACK A., Associate Professor of Psychology, June 16-August 31, 1958, $933-33 a month; this is in addition to his present appointment (6-30-58). ADOLPH, ROBERT J., Instructor in Medicine (Medicine), two months from July I, 1958, $583.33 a month (7-9-58) ; one year from September I, 1958, $8000 (7-9-58). ALEXANDER, ELEANOR O., Resident Assistant (Allen H a l l ) , ten months from August 18, 1958, $1600; she will also receive board and room furnished for the convenience of the University valued at $31 a month (7-8-58).
