T h e Dean of the College of Education and the Vice-President and Provost endorse these nominations. I recommend approval. O n m o t i o n of M r . APPROPRIATIONS BY ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (7) T h e Board of Directors of the Athletic Association has approved the following appropriations: $3,000 for services of the Alumni Association and $4,000 for replacement of two trucks. Confirmation of these appropriations is requested. O n m o t i o n of M r . H u g h e s , t h e a c t i o n o f t h e B o a r d of D i r e c t o r s w a s confirmed. SPECIAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR N O N R E C U R R I N G EXPENDITURES (8) The Committee on Nonrecurring Appropriations recommends assignments of funds from the General Reserve Fund as follows: 1. HOUSING CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM (9) On November 21, 1957, the Board of Trustees authorized the consolidation of six projects into a program to be covered by a single bond issue. T h e Housing and Home Finance Agency had given preliminary approval to a loan of $6,828,000 to cover approximately half the cost of the entire program. After analyzing the enrollment for 1957-58, it was determined that construction of additional units of the Men's Residence Halls, a Graduate Student Residence Hall, and two hundred and fifty apartment units should be deferred, and a revised application was submitted to the Housing and Home Finance Agency for the Central Food Stores Building, the Snack Bar and Service Building in the Men's Residence Halls area, and one hundred and twenty apartment
