GEOLOGICAL SURVEY LABORATORY (27) Bids on the construction of the Geological Survey Laboratory, for which the Sixty-first General Assembly made an appropriation of $95,000, were scheduled to be received at the State Architect's Office in Springfield on March 12. Since the schedule of bids and the recommendations of the State Architect are not ready for consideration by the Board of Trustees at this meeting, I recommend that the Board make provisions for approving the award of contracts on this building without waiting until another meeting.

On motion of Mr. Mayer, the President of the University or his representative was authorized to act in this matter. At this point, Mr. Wieland withdrew, and the Board took a recess.
