(A lower bid of $2400 was received from the General Electric Company, Springfield, Illinois, but its equipment does not meet specifications and therefore is not recommended.) 6. 215 Fuse Cutouts, from the Hyland Electrical Supply Company, Chicago, the lowest bidder, at a cost of $2,224.52. 7. 109 Army Overcoats (short) from Browning, King Corporation, New York City, the lowest bidder, at a cost of $11.00 per coat. This recommendation supersedes that acted upon by the Board of Trustees at its meeting on September 30, 1939 (Minutes, page 578), authorizing the purchase of military overcoats from the United States Army Quartermasters Corps. After the order had been placed it was found that the Quartermasters Corps was no longer in a position to furnish the coats, and the order was therefore cancelled, and it became necessary to negotiate for the purchase of coats elsewhere. 8. One car load of Red Cypress and White Pine Lumber, from Wm. C. Schreiber Lumber Company, Chicago, the lowest bidder, at a price of $2,124 f.o.b. Urbana. 9. 36 microscopes and 5 Lucida Drawing Cameras for the Department of Botany to replace old equipment, orders to be divided as follows to secure the best prices on the basis of quotations received and credit allowed on old microscopes to be turned in as part payment: Bausch & Lomb Optical Company, Chicago: 20—F. SALE OF R O S E L A W N CEMETERY LOTS

(22) On May 27, 1936 (Minutes, page 659), the Board authorized the sale of lots owned by the University in Roselawn Cemetery. On February 27, 1937 (Minutes, page 183), a sale price of not less than $100 (including $25 for the association) for each quarter lot was decided on, and the Director of the Physical Plant Department and the Comptroller were authorized to handle these transactions.
