700 BOARD OF TRUSTEES PURCHASES RECOMMENDED (3) A recommendation that the following purchases be authorized: 1. One car (400 cartons) n " x l 5 " Bleached Paper Towels, from the Illini Chemical Company, Champaign, the low bidder according to specifications, at a price of $3.50 per carton, or a total of $1400, f.o.b. Urbana. 2. One Quartz Monochromator and Camera Attachment, from the Gaertner Scientific Corporation, Chicago, at a price of $1,375, f.o.b. Urbana. 3. One hundred and eighty-three cases of P y r e x Laboratory Glassware, for the General Chemical Storeroom, from the W . M. Welch Manufacturing Company, Chicago, at a price of approximately $2,700. On motion of Mrs. Plumb, these purchases were authorized. PURCHASE AUTHORIZED (4) A report of the following purchase authorized by the President of the University in accordance with the University Statutes: 1. Eighteen tons (carload) 25x38—70 lb. Namelo coated book paper, from Dwight Bros. Paper Company at a price of $6.30 per cwt., or a total of $2,268, f.o.b. Urbana. O n m o t i o n o f M r .
