ADMISSION TO LIBRARY SCHOOL (7) The University Senate recommends that the requirements for admission to the Library School be amended, effective June 1, 1940, to read as follows, the amendment being italicized: "Admission to the Library School is conditioned on the presentation of credentials showing that the applicant holds a bachelor's degree in arts or science from the University of Illinois or has had other equivalent training. The scholastic average during the four years of undergraduate work must be at Ieast-s.5." On motion of Mr. Jensen, this requirement was approved. COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES FOR FEBRUARY GRADUATES (8) The President of the Senior Class has presented a request, through the faculty Committee on Commencement, that the University hold Commencement exercises for those students who will receive their degrees in February. They number approximately 325 and pay the same graduation fee ($10) as June candidates. In the judgment of the Committee the following considerations are involved in this proposal:
