MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS July 14, 1939 With Adjourned Session of July 21, 1939 And Executive Committee Meeting of August 3, 1939 The July meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, at io o'clock a.m. (Chicago Daylight Saving Time) on Friday, July 14, 1939. When the Board convened, the following members were present: President Mayer, Mr. Adams, Mr. Cleary, Mr. Jensen, Mr. Karraker, and Dr. Meyer. Mr. Moschel, Mrs. Plumb, and Mr. Pogue took their places with the Board early in the session. President Willard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Professor Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Judge Sveinbjorn Johnson, University Counsel, and Mr. H. E. Cunningham, Secretary. 355
