MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS May 2 6 , 1 9 3 9 The May meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, at 12 o'clock noon (Chicago Daylight Saving Time) on Friday, May 26, 1939. When the Board convened, the following members were present: President Mayer, Mr. Adams, Mr. Cleary, Mr. Jensen, Mr. Karraker, Mr. Moschel, Mrs. Plumb; Dr. Meyer and Mr. Pogue joined the meeting later in the day. President Willard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Professor Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Judge Sveinbjorn Johnson, University Counsel, Mr. C. S. Havens, Director of the Physical Plant Department, and the Secretary. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of April 27, 1939. On motion of Mrs. Plumb, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 279 to 314 above. 315
