Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the Board of Trustees hereby confirms the action of the President of the University, taken pursuant to previous authorization by the Board, in awarding the aforesaid contracts.

On motion of Mr. Wieland, this resolution was adopted.

CONTRACT CHANGE ORDERS FOR PWA PROJECTS (21) On October 17, 1938, the Board of Trustees authorized the President of the University and the Director of the Physical Plant Department to approve change orders, not exceeding $500 in cost, on contracts for all buildings for which the University has received a grant from the United States of America through the Federal Emergency Administration of Public W o r k s . 1 report my approval, and request confirmation by the Board of Trustees, of the following contract change orders which have been authorized since the last meeting: Addition to Library (111. No. 1962-F)

Change O r d e r No. 4, contract with English Brothers for general construction. (1) T o cover acceptance of standard method of factory finishing steel sash of Hope's Windows, Inc., instead of the method specified. Inasmuch as this results in the net omission of one stage of the finishing process, a credit is involved of $ 65 00 (2) Inasmuch as sub-master keying of locks to cubicle doors will not be required the portion of Contract Change Order No. 2 providing for same (item # 2 ) is hereby cancelled, although master keying is to be provided with one master for all cubicle doors independent of any other master. T u r n knobs are, however, still to be omitted 88 00 Total deduction $153 00 Change Order No. 2, contract with T h e Carson-Payson Company for Plumbing and Heating. Remove radiator from the extended transformer room, capping steam and air lines. Radiator and valves to be turned over to Physical Plant Department of the University. Additional $ 15 00 Change Order No. 3, contract with T h e Carson-Payson Company for Plumbing and Heating. Provide the following revisions in service connection for heat: (1) Cut in new 6" connection to high pressure service main, providing new 6" gate valve. (2) Retain present 3" valve and line for use instead of providing new 2" line specified, cutting off same where 2" line was indicated to turn south, and provide drip at that point to return as per correspondence.
